Chief Science & Technology Officer, ATCC
Mindy has over 25 years of product and technology development expertise in cell and molecular biology. As Chief Science and Technology Officer for ATCC she is responsible for the development and implementation of the overall ATCC scientific and technology strategy in support of organizational goals. In addition, as the Vice President and General Manager of the ATCC Cell Systems (ACS) business unit (located in Gaithersburg, MD), Mindy oversees all aspects of the ATCC cell biology portfolio including the innovative cell biology product and technology development team. Prior to joining ATCC, she was with BD Biosciences as the Director of R&D in the Advanced Bioprocessing group. Prior to that role, Mindy held several positions of increasing responsibility within the BD Biosciences Bioimaging business (formerly Atto Biosciences), including Director of R&D. Prior to BD, Mindy was at Life Technologies where she lead efforts in several diverse areas including DNA-based diagnostics, stem cell biology, forensics and nucleic acid purification. She earned her Ph.D. in Genetics from The George Washington University and did her dissertation research and post-doctoral work at The National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute.
